Vote Bill Wolpert – November 1 Email

Subject: The Democratic Party Likes Me

My name is Bill Wolpert.  I'm running for Petaluma City Council.  This is another installment in my continuing conversation with the voters of Petaluma.

Somewhere among the election mailings delivered in the last ten days, many of you received a card from the California Democratic Party with their ballot recommendations.  Toward the bottom of the card, you’ll find their suggestions for the Petaluma City Council.  I’m one of the two candidates they endorse.

I’m particularly pleased, and a little surprised, by the endorsement.  After all, all four candidates, including the three incumbents, are Democrats.  And yet the Democratic Party not only chose to recommend me, but didn’t even choose to endorse candidates for all three open seats.

I’m not privy to their reasoning, but am aware of the faith that the party has placed in me and will do all I can to reward that faith.

There is much to be done from the City Council dais, but I’ll be ready for the task with your help.

Reminder: I’ll be hosting a town hall meeting November 1st at the Aqus Café, 2nd and H Streets, starting at 7:00pm.  It’ll be an open format to talk about all things Petaluma.

Everyone is welcome.  Voters, non-voters, those who have already voted, my supporters, supporters of my opponents, the undecided, even my opponents.

Let’s have a rollicking discussion about the future of Petaluma so we can all come away with new ideas and renewed enthusiasm for our town.

I've been sharing what I think about the present and future of Petaluma.  But I also want to know what you think.  You can reply to this email, send me a message from my website, or talk to me at one of the events listed on my website.  I care about your opinions.
